In response to requests for additional courses, our Trades e-Academy division has announced that the development of their PAT testing course is now in its final stages and will be released week commencing 5th March.
The Electricity at Work regulations 1989 made it a legal requirement for all electrical appliances to be tested for safety, and this interactive online course allows you to train staff to a competent level enabling them to carry out their own Portable Appliance Testing, commonly known as PAT testing. With growing pressure on devices such as laptops and video cameras within the work place, people are increasingly bringing their own electronic equipment in the office; these items must also be PAT tested when used in the office.
As with all Virtual College e-learning this online training is interactive and available anywhere with an internet connection; while keeping costs down compared with traditional face to face methods. The use of video footage within this course means that particular attention can be paid to more complicated areas, showing procedures being carried out correctly and safely.
