iCloud Now Has 100 Million Users

iCloud Now Has 100 Million Users:

Tim Cook seems to be doing a fine job as Apple’s CEO because since Job’s passing and his assuming the helm, it’s been nothing but good news after good news. The latest round of good news came at a Goldman Sachs Technology and Internet Conference during which Cook took the floor to talk about Apple’s production presence in China as well as the company’s philosophy behind its products.

Cook spoke broadly about these two points but he also made special reference to Apple’s growth of its syncing product called the iCloud. According to Cook, since launching last year, the iCloud service has grown to over 100 million users. Even more staggering is its growth in the last month or so, where the iCloud service added 15 million users in the very short space of 21 days. Cook placed special emphasis on Apple’s long term strategy for the iCloud service; saying that it was always meant to be something with long term aspirations and that the original intent was to make the iCloud service a wave of the next decade.

Aside from the impressive iCloud numbers, analysts were also very impressed with Cook’s delivery. Many felt it was energetic, on-point and filled with the spirit characteristic of Apple’s long history of exciting product unveilings. Perhaps he was channeling Jobs.
